Cosplay Events

Mr. & Mrs. NMA
This event will be similar to a masquerade, but will be in a pageant style.  10 men and 10 women will strut their stuff for the honorary title of Mr. & Mrs. NMA.  For details and to sign up, please contact Erin at cosplay.nmac@gmail.com.  If you are interested please reply quickly because there is limited spots available.

 Hallway Cosplay Contests 
We will be randomly selecting CON goers who have on great costumes and will be judged in several categories.

-Best in Show

-Best Representation of a Character

-And more to come.

Awards for the Hallway Events will be awarded at the evening dance.  So make sure to be present to win.  

Video Room

We will be showing videos with the range of classic, modern, and some not even in America yet. Check back soon for your favorite titles.

In the evening we will go to an 18 and over time, where you will need ID to enter.*

*18 and over does not imply Hentai.  Titles may just not be suitable for younger viewers. 

Forums

We will be having several panels, or forums, through out the day with topics on fan dubbing, voice acting, manga drawing, and show inspired theme panels. Some panels will be held by our special guests. Panels will run throughout the day.

Gaming

We will have some of the latest and classic video gaming consoles for you to see the progression of how the Japanese Gaming world has taken America by storm.

Fanart Square

Artists will have tables set up throughout the day for viewing and purchasing their works. Come in and experience the art of anime drawn by who else, but talented fans.

Auction
In the evening an auction of fanart and other such works will be held.
Auction donations of art to supplement next year’s activities are much appreciated.

Photographs

Group photograph opportunities will be determined after registration and be made available to attendees throughout the day.  Photograph themes may range from a specific series to genre to fashion.

AMV Heaven

You are familiar with AMV Hell, well, following that same line of scrutiny and selection, we have picked the best AMVs we know of and want to show them to you.  Only the videos that we would get five stars to on YouTube will be found here!

Dance!

Referred to by some as the best part of the convention experience, the dance will end the day and the convention. Dance with that Inuyasha you had your eyes on all day.  Start a conga… or caramelldansen!  Just shake out the last embers of energy left, so you don’t have to sit up all night thinking about all the fun you had.  Hopefully our anticipated Mr. and Mrs. NMA will share a dance at this most elegant of occasions.

Storytelling

Will run through most of the dance. If the dance becomes too full, or you would rather sit and do something more peaceful, bring along your best fanfiction or just improv one on the spot! Prizes will be awarded for best fanfic or improved story… possibly both.
Warm-up games will include a three-word-pass where each participant contributes three words to a (anime-themed of course) story and tasks the next participant with continuing it. Better be quick! Stories can get as crazy, genre-bending, character-swapping, ridiculous as the groups' collective imagination will allow.
